NewsX: The long-winding saga of actor Shahrukh Khan's surrogate child has taken a new turn after the Mumbai civic body confirmed the birth of the child at Masarani Hospital for Women in Andheri.
Incidentally, the child was born on May 27, well before the controversy surrounding the sex determination of the child began.
However, even after a month, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has not yet been able to ascertain whether there was any sex determination done at any point of the time.
"We received a birth report from our K-ward office, which bore the name of Shah Rukh Khan as father and Gauri Khan as mother," said BMC executive health officer Arun Bamne. However, the civic body does not know who actually bore the child. "We do not have knowledge about who bore the child, as our officers did not find the entry of the surrogate's name at Masrani Hospital," said Dr Bamne.
