AAP MLA Somnath Bharti gets bail in Domestic Violence Case

In a major relief to the former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti, a local court on Wednesday granted him bail in connection with a domestic violence case filed by his wife Lipika Mitra. The Dwarka court allowed bail to the Malviya Nagar MLA after a security of Rs 1 lakh. Bharti, who surrendered to police last Monday and was arrested, was named in an FIR filed on September 10 following a June 10 complaint by Lipika, who said he had been abusing her since their marriage in 2010.
