Punjab: Police beats prisoners in Hoshiarpur

NewsX: No end to Police highhandedness in Punjab. NewsX has accessed visuals of prisoners in Hoshiarpur district jail being beaten up black and blue. The problem had erupted when four inmates from the Hoshiarpur prison were transferred to another prison. As they were moved out, the other prisoners were agitated over it, leading to a commotion. The police personnel who intervened went on a rampage beating up the prisoners despite them pleading for mercy. The prisoners are also seen running helter skelter to avoid blows. According to eyewitnesses the failure to bribe these cops led to the transfer of these four inmates.
