UPA plans universities for minorities in 5 states

NewsX: Keen to woo minorities ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, the UPA government is going to set up 5 universities for minorities, including one in Rae Bareli. In an exclusive chat to NewsX, minority affairs minister K Rahman Khan told Seema Kaul that the universities will be set up at an initial cost of 30 crore rupees per university. The emphasis is on higher education for minorities. Discussions are underway between the ministries concerned at present.
