Congress president Sonia Gandhi hosted an Iftar party in Delhi. The Iftar-cum-dinner was attended by key leaders from the opposition. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on behalf of the Janata Dal (United) and Derrick O’Brien from the Trinamool Congress were present. Former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister and Jammu & Kashmir of National Conference, Omar Abdullah was seen sitting together with Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
