Bribery charges on Mamata Banerjee -- part 1

A senior IPS officer Nazrul Islam, against whom the Mamata government has initiated departmental proceedings last Februaray has shot off a letter to the union home secretary leveling bribery allegations against Mamata Banerjee as a railway minister. Nazrul Islam writes that in March 18, 2010 a CBI note was sent to him asking to take up a case against an IPS officer of UP, Birinder Singh Sidhu. Mamata Banerjee as Railway Minister asked him to probe the matter and wanted Sidhu to be suspended.
