Railgate scam: Judicial custody of 5 accused ends today

NewsX: Today is the crucial day for the 5 accused of the Railway bribery scandal. Their judicial custody ends today. Former Railways Minister Pawan Bansal's nephew Vijay Singla, alleged beneficiary of scam and the suspended Railway Board member Mahesh Kumar, along with three others had been remanded by Delhi Court more than a week ago. Today as their custody ends, CBI is likely to move a fresh application seeking more time to examine them. CBI has booked all accused for their alleged role in the bribery case, in which a deal of 10 crore was allegedly finalised for getting Mahesh Kumar appointed to a more lucrative post in the Railway Board.
