Pakistani troops on Thursday violated border ceasefire along Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, a defence ministry official said. "Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing across the LoC in Sawjian sector of Poonch district since 9:15am," Jammu-based defence spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said. The firing lasted for 5-10 minutes, he said, adding casualty or damage was reported on the Indian side. He said the Pakistani army has been intermittently firing with small automatic weapons since the morning, prompting the Indian Army to retaliate.
