Almost 50-60 students living on rent protested outside Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal's home at Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines on Monday against the exorbitant room rent they have to pay in the city. "The landlords charge rent at their own wish. There is no fixed rate. They charge hefty amounts from students. We want the Delhi Rent Control Act, which is only on papers, to be implemented," said Ilma Afroza, a civil services aspirant, who completed her graduation from St. Stephen's College. Sulekha, who dropped out from IIT Kanpur to prepare for civil services exam, said that the landlord charges Rs 7-9 per unit for electricity, which is too much.
