Bastar District Magistrate Amit Kataria on Friday morning landed himself in trouble as he received a notice from Chhattisgarh government for wearing sunglasses while receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his state visit on May 9. According to local media reports, Prime Minister Modi shook hand with the accused officer who was wearing a blue shirt and branded sunglasses and asked, "Mr Dabangg Collector, how are you?" Reports added that PM Modi's remark had sparked off a debate on the dress code of IAS officers on VVIP duty. The Chhattisgarh government has warned the Collector for not following the protocol and showing no "integrity and devotion" towards duty.
