Gangster Abu Salem to life imprisonment for the murder of builder Pradip Jain in 1995

A Mumbai court sentenced extradited Abu Salem to life imprisonment for the 1995 murder of city-based builder Pradeep Jain.
In Salem’s first conviction under the stringent Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), a special court on February 16, 2015 had held him guilty of the murder of Jain. The gangster’s former driver Mehendi Hassan and an 86-year-old builder, V.K. Jhamb, had also been convicted with him in the 20-year-old case.
