Kolkata SFI activist death: Cops beat him to death, claim students

Left Front activists are protesting against the alleged murder of an SFI student leader. The student Sudipto Gupta was allegedly beaten to death by the Police today. This was after they allegedly pushed him out of the bus. Sudipto Gupta was studying at the Rabindra Bharati University. The trouble broke out after he and his friends started protesting against the postponement of the college elections. Sudipto was allegedly being taken to the presidency jail when the incident took place.
