Lanka issue: SP, BSP to continue support to govt

But SP and BSP may use the opportunity to demand their pound of flesh from the government. Mulayam Singh Yadav is likely to demand a special package for Uttar Pradesh along with a Muslim quota. There is also the issue of several CBI probes that the SP chief may like to deflect. Mayawati meanwhile would like the govt to implement a promotion quota for SC/STs in Govt jobs.
