Police constable shot dead by two men in Delhi

A Delhi police constable was shot dead when he flagged down a motorbike near a checkpost in outer Delhi's Alipur area on Monday night.

According to the police, constable Karamveer (30) and a home guard were on a checking duty near Jhangola village and had received an input about two suspected liquor mafias in the area.

Around 11pm, they saw two men on a motorbike carrying a crate of liquor heading towards the check post. When they were asked to stop the pillion rider pulled out a pistol and shot at Karamveer. He died on the spot. The home guard tried to chase the bikers but they fled.

A case of murder has been registered and raids are being conducted to nab the killers.
