Tarn Taran case: SC asks Punjab DGP to file personal affidavit

Supreme Court has slammed administration over police brutality in Tarn Taran. The Supreme Court has asked the Punjab DGP to file a personal affidavit in the case. This is in the case where suo moto cognizance was taken of Taran Taran and Patna incident. Notice has been issued to Home Secretary, Govt of India and DGPs of all states. HS of all states and Chief Secy of all states to respond. SC compares police action to British Raj, brings up Jallianwalla Bagh comparison. SC calls Taran Taran lady more than a "breaveheart". SC seeks explanation on the implementation of historic Prakash Singh Judgement pertaining to police reforms.
