Omar Abdullah, the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister too joins the ranks of those trying to gather brownie points on the Afzal Guru issue. Omar Abdullah says he had written to the PM on the 19th of this month asking for the return of the bodies of both Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhatt to their families. And after raking up the issue that is already gathering a storm, Omar says he had hoped to avoid playing politics with the body of Afzal Guru but that it seems to be impossible to hope for that with the Mufti Sayeed letter now. Omar says the fact that the PDP has joined in support now gladdens him.
