13 CRPF men killed in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

As many as 13 CRPF men were killed and 14 others were injured when they were ambushed by Maoist rebels in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Monday.Two officers of the paramilitary unit were among those killed. Maoists have operated for decades across a wide swathe of central and eastern India, and grew in strength during recent times in areas where poor, tribal villagers came into conflict with mining companies seeking resources for industrialisation.
