Pro-state protests in AP as centre defers Telangana decision

Outrage mounting in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana Statehood issue and trouble for Finance Minister Chidambaram and Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. Both union ministers are facing police cases in Hyderabad for allegedly not fulfilling a 9th December 2009 assurance. Monday also marked the end of the Centre's deadline to decide the statehood question, Pro-Telangana leaders started a 36-hour fast on Sunday and are promising more protests on similar lines.
