UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Saturday in a letter to veteran social activist Anna Hazare assured to pass the contentious Lokpal Bill in the upcoming Budget Session of the Parliament. The anti-corruption Bill was passed by Lok Sabha in 2011 bit in the Rajya Sabha, it faced opposition hurdle on various provisions, including the one making it mandatory for states to set up Lokayuktas (anti-corruption ombudsman).
