Nitin Gadkari threatens Income Tax Department

A day after stepping down as BJP President, Nitin Gadkari issued an open threat to Income Tax authorities, probing into the Purti group. Gadkari said that nobody would save the officials when BJP came to power at the Centre. Gadkari looked all set to take over as the President of the BJP for a consecutive second term, but everything changed on the 22nd of the month. The IT Department's on-field inquiries at 11 premises in Mumbai forced a rethink in the party top brass and Gadkari was finally elbowed out of the contest. Gadkari also lashed out at the Congress and Sonia Gandhi in Particular.
