Andar Ki Baat: Who will be the 'Chaudhary' of Haryana this time?
The Bharatiya Janata Party won a complete majority in Haryana but it is still in dilemma on who to appoint the chief minister. Party sources said that the legislature party will meet on Tuesday in Chandigarh.

Sources added that BJP observers Venkaiah Naidu and Dinesh sharma will hold consultations with MLAs and will convey the same to party president Amit Shah.

Sources said that the BJP is also deliberating whether to appoint a Jat or a non-Jat chief minister. Sources added that a non-Jat CM could send a wrong message to the Jats who have supported BJP in adjoining states and may also affect party's prospects in Uttar Pradesh, Rajashthan and poll bound Delhi.

Thus, the BJP is finding it difficult to ignore the claim of non-Jats for CM's post.

Sources added that if the party decided to go for a Jat CM then Captain Abhimanyu Singh is the front runner.

Sources said that if the party goes with a a non-Jat CM, then it could be Manohar Lal Khattar. The party could also go for a deputy chief minister to placate the second group.

Haryana has had three consecutive Jat Chief Ministers for 15 years. The last non-jat to become CM of Haryana was Bhajan Lal.

BJP Haryana in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya said, "We didn't look at the caste when distributing tickets. Venkaiah Naidu will visit Chandigarh tomorrow to hold consultations with MLAs and we will convey it to the party president."
