Delhi gangrape: Why no action against police chief, asks HC

The Delhi High Court has taken strong exception that only junior police officers were suspended in connection with the gangrape of a 23-year-old student. The Court said that senior cops, including the Police Commissioner, have not been made accountable. The court is to take up the case today. This is something NewsX has been demanding since the very beginning. The Delhi Police had suspended 8 policemen as a fallout of the 'Damini' case. NewsX has relentlesssly raised this question as to why the Delhi Police Chief Neeraj Kumar was still holding office. NewsX put forth the question to the govt -as to when will it to come forth strong on accountability in the case.
