The film is about a man's journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens along the way is a hard-core commercial film with a romantic angle. Apart from bringing back the succesful jodi of SRK and his Shantipriya, the film offers a lot of firsts. While King Khan is working with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for the first time, South Indian actor Sathyaraj and even Deepika's father Prakash Padukone are making their Bollywood debut in this film.
