Rescue operation is first priority in Jammu and Kashmir says Rajnath Singh
  • 5 years ago
Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that India will resume talks with Pakistan only if it responds adequately.

"If Pakistan responds properly, we will resume dialogue with them. A neighbour is a neighbour. We always want good relations with neighbours. Friends can be chosen but neighbours can't be chosen," he said.

Bi-lateral talks between India and Pakistan hit rock bottom after New Delhi called off scheduled talks with Islamabad following Pakistan High Commissioner's meeting with Kashmiri separatist leaders. Repeated ceasefire violations along the LoC have also been a matter of concern in the relations between the two nations.
