Centre slams Jayalalithaa over NDC meet issue - NewsX

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajeev Shukla has responded to Jayalaitha's tantrum by clarifying that all speakers - 35 Chief Ministers and members of the planning commission - were given ten minutes for their speeches because of a paucity of time. Shukla also said that a polite warning bell to alert speakers when they are exceeding their time is a common practice that this was used evenly with all speakers. Shukla also said the Prime Minister made a special gesture to Jayalalithaa by asking her to speak first but that she chose to overlook this honour with her walkout.
