Power cuts in Uttar Pradesh

The situation in rural areas like Etmadpur and Jalesar look worse. Residents there have been facing 18 to 20 hours of power cut on a daily basis. The mood on the street has even forced the courts to intervene. On Wednesday, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court directed the government to file its replies on a PIL that questioned 24-hours uninterrupted power supply in "VIP areas and cities".
