The Supreme Court on Wednesday pulled up the Modi government over the cleaning of the river Ganga. Taking on the Central government, the apex court said that 'Cleaning Ganga' was in the BJP's election manifesto though the government is not showing any urgency in Ganga protection measures. The SC also told Centre that the issue of cleaning the Ganga is very important and has to be put on the front burner.
