BJP accepts Mahesh Jethmalani's resignation - NewsX

The BJP is battling its share of troubles as well. The party has decided to issue a show cause notice to veteran lawyer Ram Jethmalani for his comments against party chief Nitin Gadkari. He's been given ten days time to respond with an explanation as to why he shouldn't be expelled from the party. Sources have also indicated that his son Mahesh Jethmalani's offer of resigning from the party's national executive has been accepted. However, while it may appear that the BJP is taking a tough stance against Ram Jethmalani, its troubles run deeper than that. A party which has been promising itself as the alternative to the Congress desperately needs to get its house in order if it wants to stand any chance against a Congress that so far is holding its own against all the charges brought against it.
