Sensationalism damaged the Telecom sector: Kapil Sibal - NewsX

More questions have been raised on 2-G spectrum loss figure of 1.76 lakh crore rupees. This time the officer behind CAG's 2G spectrum audit has dropped a bombshell by claiming that the report was not his and that he was told to merely sign it. The CAG report which was tabled in November 2010 had pegged the revenue loss to the exchequer on account of allocation of 2G spectrum in 2008 at whooping Rs. 1.76 lakh crore Rupees. Speaking exclusively to NewsX Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal said that the sensational created by the CAG estimate has caused massive damage to the Telecom Sector.
