Protests turn violent in Srinagar

Massive protests broke out in the valley after a section of Kashmiri youth clashed with the police in parts of Srinagar post Eid prayers on Tuesday. The youth were protesting against Israel’s offensive against Gaza, with many shouting anti-Israel and pro-freedom slogans. Protesters in the Eidgah area clashed with police officers who used tear gas and lathicharged the demonstrators.
