Kingfisher lifts lockout, agrees to pay salary dues - NewsX

The month-long stalemate at Kingfisher Airlines ended on Thursday. The airline's management conceded to the employees' demands and lifted the lockout. The patch up seems to have come just in time for promoter Vijay Mallya who sources say will arrive in a chopper for the Formula One Indian Grand Prix in Greater Noida near Delhi on Friday. With around 4,000 employees, who have not been paid since March, the truce pre-empted their planned demonstration at the F1 sporting event, that has saved a major embarrassment to the liquor baron turned F1 team sponsor.
