Mamata lashes out at Jairam, shares his letter on FB - NewsX

A full blown war of words has emanated between Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Trouble began when Jairam Ramesh through an official letter took a pot shot at Mamata's remark that the brain-dead UPA government will not last for more than 6 months. While giving details of funds released to West Bengal through MNREGA scheme, Jairam at the fag end of the letter stated that the 'Brain dead Government of Delhi was sensitive to the needs of people of West Bengal. This has got Mamata fuming. Unwilling to take the letter dripping in sarcasms lying low she hit out by posting the letter on a social media website. Terming Jairam's letter as vindictive, unethical, unconstitutional and distasteful, she said "Releasing funds for the Central schemes is not a matter of charity. This is pure Governmental activity".
