U.K authorities have downgraded the charges in the attack on retired Lt General Kuldip Singh Brar. Instead of 'attempt to murder', Brar's assailants are now being charged with 'intent to cause grievous bodily harm'. The authorities say the reason for downgrading the charges is that the injuries were not life threatening. 3 men have been arrested in the case so far. One of them is charged with common assault on Lt Gen Brar's wife.
