Hostage for 2 years, 7 Indian sailors plead for help - NewsX

Seven Indian sailors, who have been held hostage by Somali pirates for the last two years have appealed to the Prime Minister, the President, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and opposition leader Sushma Swaraj seeking their help. In a dramatic video the sailors explain their plight saying their health is deteriorating and they are now desperately seeking release. One of the sailors is reportedly a diabetic patient and is said to be in urgent need of medicines. The video was reportedly uploaded on the web 45 days ago, but was accessed by the family of one of the hostages only on Friday..
