BMC to issue eviction notices to Campa Cola residents today
  • 5 years ago
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is likely to issue eviction notices to the residents of Mumbai's controversial Campa Cola Compound on Wednesday. The notices will come a day after the Supreme Court dismissed a fresh plea against the demolition of the compound.Meanwhile, residents of the compound are in the process of packing, shifting and moving in whatever mode of transport is available. They are using everything from cars to tempos and cabs and moving to temporary locations. However, some of the residents have refused to pack or even think about moving out of the compound until the BMC takes final action. They are still hoping that some legal solution might be found to the imbroglio.
