The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Centre and all the states and demanded their action plan on the issue of missing children. The SC is acting upon a PIL filed by an NGO called Bachpan Bachao Andolan who had suggested that an FIR should be registered immediately on each complaint about a child gone missing. The NGO wants a National action plan prepared for rehabilitation of such children. The NGO also wants trafficking to be made cognizable and non bailable offence by the way of amendment in law and include it in IPC.
