Tihar Rocks is a newsx special about a music concert in the most unusual setting: inside Asia's largest prison complex: Tihar! The brainchild of Stefan Kaye of the Stiff Kittens Inc., SKA SKA SKA FOR TIHAR was a musical mission to provide some of the wards of Tihar Jail musical instruments for their music rooms. This mission was ultimately realized thanks to the generous donation of instruments by Furtados. This show features the actual concert from Tihar Jail - in which Skavengers, Flying Souls (Tihar Jail's own in-house band) and hip-hop dance sensations The Slum Gods performed. In addition it also features a pre-concert gig at The Blue Frog where Skavengers & Slumgods were joined by The Vinyl Records, Peter Cat & Recording Company & DJ Yuri. First telecast on world music day, Tihar Rocks gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'jailhouse rock'.
