In UP, trouble is brewing within the Akhilesh Yadav government Senior minister Azam Khan has written to him seeking his won removal from the post of minister in-charge of Ghaziabad and Muzaffarnagar districts. Azam Khan has also written that if the chief minister was not happy with him as minister, he was willing to relinquish his cabinet berth as well. Azam was the minister in-charge of Meerut, Ghaziabad and Muzaffarnagar districts. This was a special post that was created to ensure special attention to districts where development works needs special focus. Recently Meerut was taken away from Azam and handed over to Balram Yadav. This has apparently created the rift within the party.
