JD(U) leader from Saharsa, Chandramani Prasad allegedly beat up a minor boy on theft charges and hit two nails into his sole on Wednesday night. Prasad heads the business cell of JDU's Simri Bakhtiyarpur cell. The police said the incident took place when 13-year-old Laloo Kumar Yadav had gone to Prasad's mobile shop and the JD(U) leader alleged that the boy stole a mobile phone from the shop. Prasad allegedly detained the boy, confined him in a room, and beat him. The boy later told local news channels that Prasad tied him with ropes and hit two nails into his sole.
