Chhattisgarh govt orders judicial probe in Bijapur encounter - NewsX

Putting an end to the dispute over the killing of 19 alleged Maoists in Bijapur on June 29, Chief Minister Raman Singh has decided to undertake a judicial probe into the matter. The Chief Justice of Bilaspur High Court, Chhattisgarh, will be asked to conduct an inquiry so that if there are any facts hidden, they may become public. Singh said this while talking to mediapersons soon after the Cabinet meeting at Mantralaya Bhavan on Thursday. Singh informed that the probe will be conducted over seven issues.
