Malware may knock thousands off Internet on Monday - NewsX

About a quarter-million computers around the world risk losing internet access on Monday due to a malicious software that is part of a hacking scam shut down by US authorities. At the centre of this potential 'blackout' threat is a hacking scam that was shut down by U.S authorities last November. Blogs and websites are already hyping the malicious software known as Alureon as the 'Internet Dooomsday' virus. About 2,45,000 computers are still affected by the Alureon Malware.
