‎In more trouble for the BJP's Karnataka unit, eight ministers loyal to the former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa on Friday resigned from the party demanding that Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda be removed. Eight Yeddyurappa loyalists, including Jagadish Shettar, Basavaraj Bommai and Murugesh Nirani, on Friday submitted their resignations to Gowda demanding a change in state leadership. They said that if something wasn't done soon to resolve the crisis, more ministers would resign. CM Gowda is expected to meet the Governor on Saturday. The open revolt came a day after the BJP top brass sought more time to meet Yeddyurappa's demand for a leadership change in the state.
