Terming the Air India pilots' strike as illegal, Civil Aviation minister, Ajit Singh said that Air India will hire new pilots for streamlining operations. He announced Air India's expansion plans. Air India is facing severe crisis right now because of pilots' strike. Addressing that issue he said, "If pilots don't accept Dharmadhikari report, I don't think there is any point in their coming back. If AI pilots want to come back, they are welcome but there should be no pre-condition." He further added that, "As far as we are concerned, the pilot's strike is over."
