India still a poor nation: NSSO survey - NewsX@9 Debate

65 years of Independence, and India is still a very poor nation. That's the shocker from an NSSO survey, which says that 60 percent of rural India lives on as little as 35 rupees a day or less. And a similar percentage of urban Indians live on 66 rupees a day or less. This shatters government's claims about India no longer being a poor nation.
