Gujarat riots case: All 109 accused in Umta village riot massacre acquitted. 2 Muslims were killed during the riots. Umta village in North Gujarat where two muslims were allegedly killed by a mob. A fast-track delivered verdict on 109 accused persons. The court began trial against them in 2005 and the proceedings lasted seven years. In Umta village on 1st March, 2002 , a retired teacher Mohammed Shaikh and Abdul Mansuri were allegedly killed by a mob of over 1,500 persons.
