Subrata Roy to celebrate Holi in Tihar jail

The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to release Sahara chief Subrata Roy from Tihar on bail till March 25, the next date of hearing on his plea for release on the ground that his detention order was illegal and should be quashed.
A special bench of justices K S Radhakrishnan and JS Khehar rejected Roy's arguments for release before the court's Holi recess which begins on Friday. Roy's lawyer Ram Jethmalani sought bail for him on any condition to be set by the court to permit him to meet his family, his ailing mother and also celebrate holi.
