A 19-year-old marine engineering cadet at Kolkata's Indian Maritime University was brutally assaulted after he failed to endure a three-hour-long 'physical exercise' session at the institute. The Delhi boy joined the prestigious institute around eight months ago. and claims that he along with all first-year students have been subjected to regular ragging sessions from the beginning. Pritam alleges that he and his friends were forced to perform severe physical exercises for three hours - towards the end, Pritam pleaded with his students to let him go, but instead he was thrashed unmercifully.
