Major Gen GD Bakshi has slammed the government for its weak policy to surrender in hostage situations. He has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court against the exchange of Naxals for BJD MLA Jhina Hikaka. The SC is set to hear the plea today. Odisha govt has given in to pressure from the Maoists. Odisha govt has agreed to withdraw cases against 13 Maoist prisoners. But this knee jerk reaction from the Odisha govt did not come till a threat from Naxals sent shockwaves.
