Uncertainty prevails over the fates of Maoist hostages — Italian citizen Paolo Basusco and MLA Jhina Hikaka — as the deadline for their release expired yesterday evening. The govt did release Maoist Sabyasachi Panda's wife... after she was acquitted by a fast track court. The other Maoists on the release list have also been asked to apply for bail.
