Asaram bapu scandal: Government sends notices to self styled godman in Jail

India News : A three-day ultimatum has been given to Asaram in jail to vacate government land on which he has built his ashram. Hon'ble Minister of Environment & Forests, Govt. of Rajasthan, Smt. Bina Kak has told that 13 bighas ofAsaram's ashram in her Vidhan Sabha area, Sumerpur is illegally built on government land. She said that the land will be taken back by the government and will be used for growing trees. The district collector has been assigned for the job. Action will be taken against all other illegal owners of government and forest lands. She spoke as a Chief Guest on 'Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Forest Foundation Ceremony', here, on Saturday. 'Trees and animals can't vote. In order to increase their vote-bank, people have been illegally settling colonies on forest land. Animal's grazing land has been confiscated by these illegal owners. Former Chief Minister Bhairon Singh Shekhawat wanted to construct shopping malls in place of the present Jaipur Central Park. Notice has been issued for the past 17 years; still no action has been taken.
